The Korg Kaossilator Pro Plus is an advanced digital synthesiser/loop recorder that allows you to create and perform tracks and loops with multiple layers in any genre or style and comes with a unique large touchpad that makes it super easy for anybody to play melodies and phrases.

The Kaossilator Pro Plus comes equipped with over 250 sounds and instruments giving you a rich variety of sounds to utilise in your performances and productions as well as a range of performance-based effects including a gate and arpeggiator. This advanced synthesiser is perfect for any digital performer or electronic music producer who is looking to expand their setup with a highly-versatile instrument that only works to assist you in making excellent sounding music.

The Kaossilator Pro Plus comes with a unique interface with a large touchpad that lets you perform melodies and phrases efficiently by stroking, tapping, or rubbing the pad. Vertical motions control the various tonal parameters associated with the sound such as filter cutoff, feedback, or modulation depth, while horizontal movements work to control the pitch of your chosen sound. The intuitive design gives flexibility to those that are not great keyboard players, allowing them to stay always stay in the correct key and scale while also giving you control over your tonal parameters that cannot be performed on a conventional keyboard.

The integrated loop recorder comes with a loop length that is adjustable up to 16 beats as well as four recording banks that allows you to record multiple track sections individually; this means bank one can play/record drums and percussions while bank two can play/record your bass parts, with banks three and four able available for lead synths and FX sounds. Alternatively, you can use the banks as track sections with bank one being the intro, bank two a build up, bank three your drop, and bank four as your breakdown.

You can overdub additional sounds one at a time to create astonishing looped phrases that will range from minimal loops to fully orchestrated tracks. The four recording banks can be entirely combined to give you infinite performance-based possibilities and can be muted, volumes adjusted, and alter the loop length for seamless live performances. Thanks to the line and microphone inputs you can record external audio sources into the Kaossilator for adding vocals, live instruments, and samples to your performances.

This Kaossilator comes with Key and Scale features that ensure you’re always in the correct key and the notes you play will match the track that is being performed. The Key setting function allows you to choose a music key/root note as well as any of the 35 available scales that range from chromatic, major pentatonic, and minor blues alongside more experimental scales like Ryukyu, Spanish, and Raga. When utilising the Key and Scale settings to match your songs you can play perfect solos without hitting a wrong note. A Note Range function means you can specify a range of playable pitches; this can be set to narrow which will ensure your melodies are played as accurately as possible, or set to an extremely wide range to give you highly dynamic and unconventional phrases.

An integrated gate arpeggiator allows you to control your phrases with freedom and works to automatically generate new phrases, loops, and beats by simply moving your finger across the touchpad while a slider lets you alter the gate timing and gate speed in real time for stutter and arpeggiator effects and unique performances. The backlit touchpad features LEDs which light up according to the path of your finger and means you can play without difficulty in dark environments. The four loop recording LEDs give you an obvious illumination pattern with red indicating a recording bank and green indicating a playback bank.
