If you're aged 18–25, based in Glasgow, and curious about DJing or music production but don't know where to start, this one's for you.
Radio Buena Vida (RBV) have launched Bass Line, a free series of face-to-face workshops designed for young people who've faced barriers to getting involved in music. Whether that's lack of cash, lack of opportunity, or barriers related to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, neurodivergence or disability, no experience is needed. No cost. Just a genuine entry point into Glasgow's music scene.
What's Involved?
There are four separate workshop groups, each with a different creative focus. Across six weekly three-hour sessions, running between June and September at the Radio Buena Vida studio at 535 Victoria Road, Glasgow, you'll get hands-on time with working DJs, producers, artists and promoters who know the industry inside out. Every group wraps up with a live radio show broadcast from the RBV studio, celebrated at a listening party in Cafe Buena Vida.
