Playlist Edit functionality enables tracks to be rearranged directly on the player without the need to reconnect a laptop or mobile device or re-export playlists to a USB drive. For maximum visibility in any environment, the CDJ-1500X also offers selectable Light and Dark display modes, ensuring clear readability whether you're performing in a dimly lit club, bright venue, or outdoor daytime setting.

Enhanced Track Visualisation

The player features 8 dedicated Hot Cue buttons, giving you instant access to key points within a track for seamless jumps, remixes, and live performance techniques. A Beat Loop encoder makes looping effortless, allowing you to activate perfectly timed loops at your chosen beat length with a single push and quick adjustment. The inclusion of Beat Sync and Beat Jump functions further simplifies mixing, helping you maintain tight transitions and easily navigate through tracks.

Core performance controls are positioned exactly where DJs expect them, including the Play/Cue buttons, Shift button, Back/Tag Track controls, Browse encoder, and a smooth, accurate tempo fader for precise pitch adjustments. At the centre of the player is a mid-size jog wheel featuring a non-slip surface and rotation indicator, providing responsive control for cueing, scratching, and track navigation while maintaining excellent tactile feedback.

The CDJ-1500X provides direct access to your cloud-based rekordbox library and millions of tracks from leading streaming services. Thanks to built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, you can perform using rekordbox CloudDirectPlay and access tracks directly from platforms including Apple Music, Beatport Streaming, and TIDAL via the StreamingDirectPlay feature.

For even faster setup, NFC touch login lets you instantly load your personal settings and playlists by simply tapping a smartphone running rekordbox for iOS or Android against the player. Combined with seamless cloud integration, this allows you to arrive at a venue with nothing more than your mobile device and immediately access your music library, making it easier than ever to start performing.

CoBeat

Looking to engage your audience and create a more interactive experience on the dance floor? The CDJ-1500X is the first AlphaTheta DJ player to support the new CoBeat service, giving club-goers a direct connection to your performance.

Using a QR code generated by either the DJ or the venue, audience members can access a catalogue of pre-selected tracks and vote for the songs they’d most like to hear. They can also submit requests for additional tracks and send messages directly to the DJ. All requests and votes are collected within the CDJ-1500X and displayed on the browse screen, making it easy to incorporate crowd favourites into your set and foster a more collaborative atmosphere between performer and audience.

CoBeat also adds a social element to the experience, allowing attendees to react to requests with emojis and share the energy of the event in real time. These reactions are sent directly to your smartphone, offering valuable insight into the crowd’s mood and helping you gauge audience engagement while performing.

When you want to open the floor to requests, simply enable CoBeat. If you prefer to focus solely on your performance, the feature can be turned off just as easily.

Customisable Design

With its sleek, minimalist design and matte black finish, the CDJ-1500X integrates effortlessly into any DJ booth or environment. The front panel features a discreet illuminated compartment housing two USB ports (1 x USB-C and 1 x USB-A), providing convenient connectivity for USB drives while keeping them securely stored to prevent accidental disconnection during performances or in busy booth settings. To enhance the atmosphere of your set, you can select from 12 customisable LED lighting colours. In addition, side-mounted screw points allow for the attachment of optional decorative panels, enabling you to personalise the appearance of your CDJ-1500X players with a variety of colours and material finishes.
