Another seriously useful little utility box from ART. The Coolswitch lets you connect a common source to two different channels. It also lets you connect two sources to one channel when configured in the opposite direction.
The coolswitch may not be the most exciting bit of Default you ever buy but it might end up being one of the most useful. There are plenty of applications for this little gizmo but one of the most popular might be using it as an amp switch for a guitar so, you can run two amps for a bigger or more varied sound. You might also end up using the coolswitch if you're running short of inputs on your desk and you need to double up or, indeed, if you wanted to run two guitars into the one amp for whatever reason. With the usual rugged ART construction, two 1/4" inputs, two 1/4" outputs and handy LEDs on the top of the box to indicate what routing is in effect the coolswitch really does all you could possibly expect from a switching box.
