“Fool’s Ovation”, Sepehr’s new EP on Objekt’s Kapsela imprint, is the natural follow-up to “Genesis Domain”, his last dancefloor-focused EP from 2024. Taking the latter’s theme (a metaphysical realm where reality continuously dissolves under extreme speed and pressure) and evolving it into a theatrical and decadent spectacle, Fool’s Ovation is framed around the archetype of the Fool or court jester, channeling seductive club propulsion through grotesque humor, psychological pageantry and apocalyptic excess. Taking nods from both avant-garde electronica of the early 00s and contemporary sleaze, it evokes a velvet-draped dancefloor unfolding at the edge of collapse.
