The second release on Jo Johnson’s imprint, Silver Threads, is by Seattle DJ and artist Raica (Chloe Harris). If Not Now, When is Raica’s third full-length album and follows her long-awaited second album, The Absence of Being, on quiet details. This is an expansive piece of work that will appeal to fans of her psychedelic first album, Dose, on her own label Further Records, but also the gentler side she’s explored with The Absence of Being, and just as much as her hugely popular experimental ambient mixes for Humano Studios (Youtube). The CD is glass mastered, sequenced by Raica, mastered by Alex Gold at quiet details, and art and design is by Plant43. It follows the same layout as ST01 (Jo Johnson - Alterations Volume One) and the spines of both line up neatly and the stitch motif along the bottom links the two releases together, while the colours contrast pleasingly.
