Multi-Channel Modulation & Voice Shaping System
Connect PoliMATHS with 2x QXG via rear chain cable to create an eight-channel backend for the Make Noise New Universal Synthesizer System (NUSS) architecture.
Combine the power of PoliMATHS with dual QXG modules to form a complete multi-voice modulation and shaping engine. This system gives you 8 channels of modulation feeding into 8 amplitude / filtering paths - ideal for polysynth rigs, generative patches, or evolving textures.
PoliMATHS is an advanced, multi-channel modulation hub that combines envelope / function generation with an oscillation capability, designed to distribute modulation across many channels in a controlled, flexible way.
QXG is a mixing + amplitude / filtering module, giving you four low-pass gate paths with stereo routing and close integration with multi-channel modulation modules (like PoliMATHS). It’s essentially a companion / utility module that helps you shape and distribute modulation or audio across multiple voices.
What’s included
- 1 × PoliMATHS — the 8-channel function generator / modulation hub
- 2 × QXG — each a 4-channel stereo low-pass gate + mixer, for a total of 8 channels of amplitude/filter control
Key Features
8 independent modulation outputs from a single gesture | Drive multiple voices, oscillators, or parameters with one performable control |
Oscillation inside PoliMATHS | Use its internal saw/triangle/ramp engine as a modulator or creative audio source |
Modes: Round, Cycling, Channel-Index, Spread, Activate / Span controls | Distribute triggers or modulation across channels dynamically (e.g. rotate, jump, or split behavior) |
Fully analog, vactrol-free low-pass gating in QXG | Precision amplitude + filtering control without traditional vactrol limitations |
Fast / Slow mode toggle in QXG | Use “Slow” for musical, smooth decay; “Fast” for tight, quick response to complex modulation |
Stereo sum + per-channel outputs in QXG | Mix all voices into stereo or pick off individual voices for separate routing |
Pre-patch headers between PoliMATHS and QXG | Seamless integration. The modules are designed to work together out of the box |
