Launch Control is a compact and portable MIDI control surface designed to integrate with all major DAWs, software synths, effects, and external hardware. Connect via USB or MIDI I/O and adjust parameters with 16 endless rotary encoders, eight assignable buttons, and a crisp OLED display.

16 Endless Rotary Encoders

At the heart of Launch Control 3 are 16 smooth, endless rotary encoders — each equipped with an RGB LED indicator that displays its relative value at a glance. Pan tracks, tweak sends, adjust plug-in parameters, or build out fully custom controls with adjustable acceleration curves for precise, real-time response. Hold Shift and turn any encoder to check its current value without changing the assigned parameter.

Eight Assignable Buttons

The eight colour-coded assignable buttons give you fast, fingertip access to your DAW tracks. Switch focus between tracks, solo, mute, or arm them instantly — or map the buttons to any hardware switch or parameter, MIDI notes and CCs, program changes, keystrokes, and more. No more endless mouse-clicking.

Crisp OLED Display

The built-in 128 x 64 monochrome OLED display keeps essential information visible exactly where you need it — showing track names, custom values, and parameter data in real time as you work.

Deep DAW Integration

Launch Control 3 offers dedicated integration with the most popular DAWs on the market today, including Ableton Live 12 (or later), Logic Pro 11 (or later), Cubase 12 (or later), FL Studio, and Bitwig. For everything else, Mackie HUI support ensures broad compatibility across virtually any DAW or production environment.

Flexible Connectivity for Studio and Stage

USB-C and 5-Pin MIDI I/O

Launch Control 3 connects to your computer via USB-C and is fully bus-powered — no external power supply needed. For hardware integration, three 5-pin DIN MIDI ports (In, Out, and Out2/Thru) let you route, merge, and control hardware synthesisers, effects units, and other MIDI devices directly. Crucially, it can operate entirely without a computer, making it an ideal choice for DAW-less and hybrid setups.

Control Multiple Devices Simultaneously

Using the Out2/Thru port and Custom Modes, you can split the controller to adjust parameters on different pieces of hardware at the same time — all from one compact device.

Custom Modes via Novation Components

Using the free Novation Components software, you can create fully custom MIDI mappings and store up to seven user-defined Custom Modes directly on the device. Whether you're building a bespoke workflow for live performance, unlocking deeper features in hardware synths, or streamlining a hybrid studio rig, Custom Modes give you the flexibility to configure Launch Control 3 exactly as you need it.
