With eight unique synth engines inspired by both classic and modern synthesis methods, Synth is a powerful tool for sound design, performing, composing, or experimenting.

A Perfect blend of Playability and Complexity
With a straightforward name to match its ethos, Synth grants complex sound design in an instrument made for hands-on, real-time exploration. "Our goal was to develop a device that merges complexity with true playability," says Polyend's founder, Piotr Raczyński. "Synth is designed for musicians who want an accessible but sonically rich experience."

Innovative Playback Modes
While multitimbral synthesizers often require sequencers to trigger multiple sounds, the Synth is designed for real-time playability of all three synths through Polyend's innovative Smart Grid feature. It includes three independent sequencers or arpeggiators that respond to your playing in real-time. By assigning a synth patch to one of three chord modes, single synth pads can trigger chords, from simple triads to extended chords.

In chord mode, two synth engines can be set to "followers," which adjust their notes according to the current chord. Scale locks help maintain musicality by keeping everything within a set scale, while the followers continue to adapt to changes even when using chord packs drawn from multiple scales. You can perform advanced key modulations with a chord pack, and the followers ensure that your bass or melody line remains in harmony.

Synth Engines with Style
Synth features eight synth engines, blending modern synthesis methods and recreations of iconic instruments and classic tones. The PHZ engine draws inspiration from the classic CZ-101 and introduces new algorithms of phase distortion, resulting in unique sounds that cannot be found elsewhere. The ACD engine, influenced by the SH-101, brings acid-laced tones that are simple to dial in yet expansive in range. And for fans of rich polyphony, the VAP engine channels the timeless warmth of the Prophet 6, encapsulating its spirit in a digital format.

Innovative Sound Design with PMD and GRAIN Engines
Among the standout new engines are PMD (Physical Modeling) and GRAIN. With roots in physical modeling techniques from Mutable Instruments, PMD provides organic textures that bring an earthy realism to Synth. The GRAIN engine, meanwhile, takes granular synthesis to new heights with user-loaded samples and a unique Burst mode for rhythmically synced grain production—perfect for creating dynamic, organic rhythms.

Expanded Wavetable and FM Capabilities
A love of wavetable synthesis has influenced Polyend's instruments over the years, and Synth brings this experience to life with the WAVS engine, a two-oscillator system that enables users to load custom wavetables and includes a Retro mode for vintage-inspired aliasing. Additionally, Synth's WTFM engine adds wavetables to an FM architecture, simplifying complex sound shaping for FM tones that range from mellow to metallic.

Comprehensive Effects
Synth offers MOD, DEL, and REV effects, each tailored for professional-grade sound shaping. From MOD's chorus, phaser, and flanger options to the DEL's analog-inspired delay lines with tape-like flutter and REV's unique Warp mode, Synth's effects are deeply customizable and saveable as user presets.

Polyend Synth combines various synthesizing methods, such as Granular, Physical Modeling, FM, Wavetable, Virtual Analog, or Phase Distortion. It offers a wide variety of professionally crafted presets for every engine.

  A dual-oscillator virtual analog polysynth. inspired by classics like the Prophet and OB-8. Perfect for lush pads or intricate sound design.
• PHZ™
  A modernized phase distortion engine with dual-oscillators, advanced modulation settings and new phase distortion algorithms. Recreate classic phase distortion tones or experimental modulated madness.
• ACD™
  A faithful recreation of iconic vintage monophonic analog synths like the SH-101 and TB-303 but with a modern twist. It also sounds excellent with polyphony.
• FAT™
  A 3-oscillator analog synth engine with detune control for massive sounds, delivering deep basses, lush pads, and expressive leads, featuring vintage-style ladder filters.
• PMD™
  A physical modeling synth with dynamic sound shaping controls for realistic instrument simulations or experimental expressions.
• GRAIN™
  A two-mode granular synth engine with a novel burst mode for time-synced or rhythmic grains and a cloud mode for big pads and interesting textures. Paraphonic mode can be used to create dynamic, textured chords with notes spread across the grain playback.
• WAVS™
  A wavetable synth that morphs between two wavetables with control over scanning and phase warping for intricate tonal shifts.
• WTFM™
  A unique 2-operator FM synth engine that uses wavetable-based oscillators driven by a 3x feedback system.

Sequencers and Arpeggiators
Independently assign a sequencer or arpeggiator to each synth and control swing, groove, octave range, gate length, and more. Transposable sequences automatically adapt to the chosen scale.

Smart Grid
Synth is the first device to introduce Smart Grid, an advanced technology that allows for single-button chords and note followers and always be in tune. Stay focused and enjoy even the most hectic live performance.

Polyphonic Aftertouch
A function that responds to your finger’s pressure independently on each pad. Every synth has up to five values that can be controlled with pressure.

Combo Knobs
Combo knobs are customizable macros that can control one, two, or all three synths simultaneously. Instantly add interest to your performance with an epic filter sweep or create an exciting buildup with the twist of a knob.

The Smart Grid keeps everything musical, and macro combos and polyphonic aftertouch make performing live easier than ever.

Three brand new effect engines
These customizable effects (delay, reverb, modulator) can be independently routed for each synth or effect engine. Use presets or adjust the parameters to your taste.

• MOD
  More than basic modulation. It can go from a slow, smooth chorus through a phaser to wild feedback flanging or anything in between.
• DEL
  A double delay engine has five delay models with delay lines that can be tempo-synchronized or controlled separately.
  
• REV
  Many reverb sounds can be created using three different reverb modes. Natural to add a touch of realistic space, Plate for metallic reverberations and Warp to add epic ambience from twisted rooms to spiral staircases.
  

Massive sound design, responsive visual feedback, and deep customization. Expand it by loading new content like wavetables, grains, presets, or the whole setup.

Scenes
Scenes combine synth engines, their parameters, patches, effects sends, macros, arps, sequences, and all other settings into a quickly accessible file. Arrange a live set with multiple Scenes, access them instantly, or share them with the Synth community.

Polyend Synth is a sound designer’s dream. The 3×3 knob matrix and dedicated parameter buttons provide all the controls needed to quickly create advanced patches without menu diving.

Responsive Visual Interface
