The original acid machine! Little introduction is needed for this legendary little monosynth that Roland manufactured in the early 80s, before they were even 10 years into operations at that point. It's well told tale of commercial failure followed by underground success, as producers like Phuture bought up cheap secondhand units and forged an entire genre & culture from something that was supposed to emulate the sound of a real bass guitar, yet sounded anything but. One of the main characteristics of the 303 is its 24bd Lowpass Filter and associated envelope modulation that contributes hugely to its specific sound, and despite many clones and emulations there is still nothing quite like the real thing, especially in the low end - trust us! It was a rudimentary synth even for its time, but hard to think of many specific synthesizers that had such a huge impact on modern music full stop.

This particular unit is very good condition for its age, featuring some minor cosmetic scratches to the underside. A very small piece of the casing next to the power connector is missing (see pics), but this does not affect operation of the unit. This unit has been fully serviced by the amazing Matt Padden, and also comes with original carry bag!
