This four-track splasher by Track & Trace (evidently a fan of the UK government's counter-pandemic policy, however ironically) makes an instant impression with its swung arpeggiations, listless garage structures and dreamy oeuvre. 'Intersection' sounds like something between Wen and Herbalizer, choosing a much cuter palette than most garage artists are willing to muster, for fear of their sound losing its 'darkness'. Speed garage/ house occupies much of the rest of the 12", with tracks such as 'Celebrated Failure' blending 4x4 heat with lush summertime garden chords and woozy phase effects.
