The L-6 Max packs the power of a full studio mixer into a portable, lightweight format that is ideal for musicians, podcasters, and content creators. With 12 channels in total, including four combo inputs (two with Hi-Z for guitars) and eight line-level inputs, it is flexible enough for solo performers, duos, and full bands. Channels 5 through 8 also include a -20 dB pad switch, allowing you to connect hot sources such as synthesizers or modular gear without needing external attenuators.

Despite its compact footprint, it delivers all the essential features for live performance, studio tracking, and mobile recording sessions. It is a true all-in-one solution that fits in your bag but functions like a professional console.

Multitrack recording made simple:

The L-6 Max can record up to 14 tracks at once: 12 isolated inputs plus a stereo master mix. All recordings are captured directly to an SD card up to 2TB in size. You can also create project files and recall them later for mixing or overdubbing. With unlimited overdubbing, you can bounce tracks to the dedicated bounce channel to free up inputs, then continue layering new parts. Even bounced tracks remain available as separate files, so you can remix them at any time.

For demanding dynamic sources like drums or electric guitar, the L-6 Max records in 32-bit float resolution with dual analog-to-digital converters on channels 1 to 4. This ensures clear, distortion-free recordings even during sudden volume peaks.

Noise reduction and dynamic control:

Built-in AI noise reduction helps you remove unwanted background hum, hiss and ambient sounds, while preserving the detail of your voice and instruments. This is especially useful for podcasting or live streaming in less-than-ideal environments. On the output side, the master track features an advanced compressor that adds punch and presence to your mix without introducing clipping. Thanks to the 32-bit float recording, even the loudest moments are captured cleanly and safely.

Sound shaping and effects on every channel:

Each of the 12 channels includes a 3-band EQ with adjustable low, mid and high frequencies. This allows you to shape individual inputs precisely and clean up your mix on the fly. Onboard effects such as reverb, delay and echo can be applied to any channel using the built-in AUX sends. You can even tap in the tempo manually to match the delay timing with your performance.

The mixer also includes sound pads for triggering samples, jingles or effects. These pads can sync to MIDI clock, making them useful in electronic music performance or live podcast production. MIDI in, out and USB MIDI support allow you to integrate synths, grooveboxes or mobile apps into your setup with ease.

Monitor your way:

Two headphone outputs and a dedicated Sub Out mix let you monitor the way you need to, whether on stage, in a booth or during a podcast interview. You can customise these mixes so each performer hears exactly what they need. AUX sends support pre or post-fader routing, giving you additional flexibility for effects or monitor feeds.

With four available scene memories, you can store complete mix setups and instantly recall them for different sessions. This makes transitions between performances or podcast episodes quick and stress-free.

Connect, control and customise:

The L-6 Max works as a class-compliant 12-in, 4-out audio interface with support for computers and mobile devices. While recording to SD card, you can simultaneously send isolated tracks into your DAW or livestreaming software. The L-6 Max also functions as a DAW control surface, offering a tactile interface for your mixing environment. With the L6 Editor app for Mac and Windows, you can customise pad assignments, effects and MIDI settings for your workflow.

You can power the L-6 Max using four AA batteries, a USB power source, or a mobile battery pack for full portability. It is also Eurorack compatible with optional mounting hardware and power supply, making it suitable for modular synth users looking to integrate mixing and recording into their rack.
