The 49-note sem-weighted keybed is perfect for crafting melodies and chord parts while still fitting comfortably into smaller studio setups. Pitch and modulation wheels add another layer of expression, so it is easier to shape performances as you record. FLkey 49 also includes creative tools that help ideas come together faster.

Scale mode helps avoid notes outside your chosen key, Fixed Chord mode lets you trigger full chords from one key and Chord Maps make it easier to build progressions from the pads. The arpeggiator adds rhythmic movement too, giving you more ways to develop a musical sketch into something fuller.

Beat making that feels more expressive:

The 16 RGB pads are set up for both sequencing and live performance, so you can work in the way that suits you best. Use them to trigger samples in the Channel Rack, build patterns directly or play beats by hand with a more natural feel.

Because the pads are velocity-sensitive and support polyphonic aftertouch, they respond with more nuance than a basic trigger pad. That makes them especially useful with instruments such as FPC, SliceX and Fruity Slicer, where dynamics can change the feel of a part. If drum programming is a big part of your workflow, these pads give you a more physical and expressive way to build grooves.

FLkey 49 is not just for getting ideas down. The eight endless encoders give you direct control over levels, filters, effects and other parameters, helping you fine-tune sounds without stopping to click through menus. The OLED display shows clear feedback, so you can see what each control is doing as you work. Beyond FL Studio, the full-size MIDI out makes it easy to connect external synths and other MIDI hardware, which is useful if your setup goes beyond software instruments.
